JANAT Paris Introduces Guinness World Record Tea Experience to Hospitality and Retail Partners at Gulfood Dubai

Dubai, UAE — At Gulfood Dubai 2026, the world’s largest food and beverage exhibition, JANAT Paris presented its Guinness World Record tea to distributors, chefs, and hospitality leaders, offering a new luxury tea experience designed for the evolving Dubai hospitality industry and Middle East tea market.

Led by an all-women service team, JANAT Paris engaged coffee professionals, hotel buyers, and retail partners through an immersive presentation that allows consumers to discover what has officially been recognised as the world’s most expensive tea under Guinness World Records.

Machiko Ikeoka, Japanese owner of the Sapphire Valley tea plantation in Sri Lanka and long-time advocate of sustainable agriculture, introduced the project to top chefs and hospitality leaders. Her initiative combines quality creation with social impact, supporting more than 7,000 families involved in the Sri Lanka tea plantation ecosystem while advancing microbiome agriculture across the region.

“Our purpose is to build a supply chain with partners who can deliver exceptional quality into millions of cups, creating surprise and emotion in every experience,” commented Machiko Ikeoka.

At a time when the beverage sector faces rising raw material costs, JANAT Tea has developed proprietary microbiome cultivation methods enabling higher yields without chemical inputs. This approach strengthens the sustainable tea supply chain while improving quality and supporting women empowerment in the tea industry, both in plantations and front-line hospitality service through dedicated Japanese hospitality training programs.

Grown in the highland rainforest of Sapphire Valley tea gardens in Sri Lanka, the tea preserves soil biodiversity and enhances flavour complexity. For UAE luxury hotels and Gulf retail partners, the tea transforms a beverage into a storytelling moment — elevating guest experience beyond taste into cultural and emotional connection.

The tea was evaluated under professional tasting protocols by the Tea Tasting Committee working alongside the Sri Lanka Tea Board, reinforcing authenticity, provenance, and institutional credibility. This endorsement enables partners in the Dubai hospitality sector to confidently communicate traceability and excellence to guests.

“Our aim is to bring the world’s finest tea experience to every table,” said Ms. Sachee, Sri Lanka’s first female tea taster at JANAT’s Sri Lankan factory, highlighting the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and inclusion.

Already served in exclusive hotels across Dubai, JANAT Paris now expands collaboration with international hospitality groups and coffee chains, introducing a new benchmark of luxury tea rooted in sustainability, innovation, and heritage.
